The parking lot at the Fifth and Missouri Metro stop is doubling, approximately, in size. The lot has been cleared, asphalt has been poured, and it looks to open in relatively short order.
While this may sound like a dramatic statement, I always thought this station presented to me , a beautiful image. There's nothing better, after frustrating debates on East St Louis, than seeing a mixture of different Metro Easters coming on the train, from this fairly busy East St Louis metrolink station.
