Coming up on the Park Central meeting

http://www.parkcentraldevelopment.org/w ... au-Ave.pdf

The 3 story building would fill in the NW corner of Taylor just south of the Hilton Home 2 Suites... first floor office and apts on top two floors.

^This building would look great if the street-facing sides were entirely brick, instead of transitioning to cheap-o-crap upstairs. And too bad their not using the whole site and are including a surface lot. But it still looks a whole lot better than what it will block the view of (Aventura).

^ yeah, not great but should be a step up that helps mask some real crap.... and with the momentum on that stretch of Chouteau, hopefully the old gas building gets a rehab.

Great news! I was just grumbling about the building promised for this corner not coming to fruition a few days ago.

Too much to ask to share the one with the hotel?

I'm surprised to find myself actually kind of liking the design.

Interesting that there's no elevator; are people these days willing to walk up three flights to get to their apartment?

Wouldn't they be required to have an elevator with new construction?

I like the design. Hope they can get some retail there. Looking at the streetview, is the doggy day care building still there? It could use an update.

Unless everything is supposed be handicap accessible by law, it would add a huge cost for 6 apartments. Are light wood construction buildings even able to support elevators or do they build a separate concrete structure for the elevator chute?

Yes it desperately needs an update or replacement. A terrible welcome to the neighborhood from the north. Broken sidewalks, broken asphalt, weeds, "water" running from the building at times.

Yes, I live on the 3rd floor with no elevator and basement parking.

I also live on the 3rd floor, and my building has no elevators.

i think it's more odd that a modern building is built without an elevator. my last crappy suburban denver apartment was 3 stories tall but was built in the 80s.
