Over the past couple weeks I've noticed some work being done on (and in) the building on the corner of Washington & 15th. I'm looking forward to seeing what's going in there; I've often thought it'd be a great spot for a restaurant or cafe.
1500 wash ave is being turned into a small business incubator of sorts. it is going to be a place that early versions of start ups can meet that is slightly more professional than the starbucks on the corner.
the folks i talked with said it will (hopefully) be done in november. more on this to follow.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the interest in what we're up to at 1500 Washington. Our recently formed company, Ignition Tank (website coming soon), will be occupying the second floor of the building with office space for several start-up companies we are involved with. However, the more exciting part is going to be the first floor. As stlsholders mentioned, we are creating a welcoming environment where entrepreneurs and like-minded people can come and work, meet, participate in workshops, classes and use the resources available in the space to work on their ideas. It's not quite like T-REX, whom are very supportive of what we're doing, but should probably be considered more of a place designed for people who still shaping their ideas and aren't quite ready to form an official company yet. There will be a small monthly fee for membership to cover the cost of operation and ensure a professional work environment. The "working title" for the space is 1500 Washington, we think that just makes sense, and we anticipate being ready to open sometime early November. Feel free to ask me any questions or stop by anytime you see someone working in the space, which is most nights and weekend.

kewl kewl...did one of my MBA end of semester business plans on that building...My plan had the building turning into a restaurant/dance club/dance studio called 'Yours and Mine' LOL...The restaurant on the first floor was yours, serving a french/american menu and the dance club/studio was mine offering classes by day and fun by night...
Too far down Wash Ave for that really...and no actual kitchen, so I'm liking what's its becoming...
