These broke ground earlier this year. I couldn’t find a thread for them. Here is their current status. These are the 3 model homes at 20th and Montgomery.

Look terrible on the outside. I hope, for the current residents, that they look better and comfortable on the inside.

"Construction is at a standstill in the St. Louis Park Place Neighborhood near 20th Street and Montgomery. Developers with Net Zero were hoping to build 250 energy efficient homes". . . On Tuesday, the developer with Net Zero told the St. Louis Business Journal, the homes are too expensive for the area because of the materials used to build the solar-powered homes . . . Because of this, Net Zero says the homes are $100,000 over budget".

^ I also found it interesting that the Union desperately trying to privatize the airport for some vague goals of helping the North Side...got in a fight with this developer and won’t agree to provide anymore funding.

What do you think would be more worthwhile for the North Side right now...a back room deal to sell off the city’s biggest asset to a bunch of well connected political cronies, or pumping some money into building 250 homes near the new NGA campus?

The STL/KC Carpenters Union, and Al Bond specifically, can suck rope.

They're asking the city to cover 100k per house? What were these supposed to go for that they're 100k over budget?

No, they're not asking the city to pay $100k per house.  But there's not much demand in that area for homes priced higher than $160k.  So these will probably go unsold for a while and no more will be built (unless demand drastically changes).
