Ok, here is a link to a website a small group is working on to form the one-stop-shop for researching school options for city parents. If you have advice on what is missing or what you'd like to see, post here or PM me. A ton of work has gone into this to collate accurate data and info.

We hope to expand this in coming months and get the word out in various media and parent/education circles. Also, look for the City Parents League of St. Louis to form and start events to get young or expecting parents educated on the options.

More to come. Anyone with skills in the area of establishing 501(c)3 status would also be most appreciated.

A quick once-over reveals the skeleton of a streamlined, potentially great site.

Yes. Very promising. I've already passed it along to some folks.

Looks great. I showed it to a couple of city dwelling coworkers - one who has kids nearing school age and one who has a kid on the way - and they were very impressed.

Any thoughts of adding a forum? Seems it would be helpful if parents of prospective students could ask questions and get responses from parents of existing students that have gone through the process and are in the schools.

Otherwise, this looks like a great resource.

This looks great! Thank you for sharing. We have a baby, and though we're a few years from him entering school, I want to start researching early.

Excellent radio from KWMU 90.7 FM and of course, excellent website and resource. Momentum is building!

This site and the City Parents League appears to be progressing quite well. Word seems to be getting out and efforts are underway to distribute postcards to realtors, libraries, ECCs, daycares, etc to heighten awareness.

I am always looking for happy families willing to tell their STL school of choice story (private, charter or SLPS). If you are willing to be part of our "Three families, three questions" series, please PM me. Here's an example of one such story we did on St. Margaret of Scotland in the Shaw Neighborhood:

I am also looking for folks who could lead a tour of their favorite school.

Thanks
