I personally think this is a neat concept. Something like this could be done here over the next several years if development keeps up the pace. In particular, the Central Corridor will still have some blank slates where this could be done. 

These people have a great vision, I hope it works out for them.

Pheonix's new light rail expansion, which uses the same or extremely similar technology as the proposed Green Line, came in at $1.34 billion for a 5.5 mile extension which has a projected ridership of 8,000 per day.

This is the most similar project to the Green Line that has recently happened in the US, and it cost $43.6M more per mile than ours is currently estimated to be and only 3,000 more projected riders.
