The windows of the really cool apartment building at Lafayette and 39th have been boarded up. Does anyone know if it's being rehabbed, or was it just condemned?

I noticed that the other day as well, sure hope something is going in there. Reminds me of a lot of cool apartment buildings in Chicago.
That building has been vacant for a long time. It seems like a great candidate for rehab.

No permit requests posted on the city property records database as of tonight. It looks like it has been vacant since 2007. The current owner is CSX Corporation of Dallas, TX. The taxes are paid and up to date. The site does list recent complaints about the building having been unsecured. I suspect this the recent activity is addressing those complaints.
