This should be quite an improvement. This area reminded me of the low rise projects in the Wire in the late 1990s.

Great to see. I'm sure St. Mary's appreciates the effort too.

This was one of the area's I've visited trying to build a case for a Southside line through Union Pacific's De Soto right-of-way (I know, I know...I'm obsessed). One of the things that is most important, I feel, is multi-unit housing near -- say, within half a mile -- of prospective stations. These rehabs/new developments, along with existing units and a dense neighborhood of single family homes just east and north, seem to make a Delor stop (or Gustine...whichever) a potentially interesting station stop. And, as is the case with pretty much every potential Southside stop, a well-used one.
