Anyone know what's going on at the NE corner of Bruno Ave & Forest Ave? Parcels were maybe merged or something?

^ Looks like those plans are up on SLDC Planroom:

Two buildings with a combined 28 units:

^ looks pretty good.  And it's nice to see the 28; wasn't sure if it was a total of 14 or 2 x 14.
A $3M permit also has been submitted for the project but not yet issued.

$300k building permit application submitted for a new home at 1623 Forest Ave. Great that they are getting these on 2,000 sf lots. The finished house at 1629 Forest had an assessed value of $1,940 as a vacant lot, now $83,780, which will mean about $7k in property taxes.

The driveway and first floor garage are a bit unfortunate, but I guess that's the price of blocks with no alley. Otherwise it's nice to see some contemporary design, and there's really no better neighborhood for it.

They wanted to tear down 2156 Forest as part of the Bruno Townhomes, which was denied. They applied for a building permit to add three units to the two-fam in Feb. It went before the Board of Adjustment last week. I'd wager it passed, but they don't post minutes or video of the meeting on Youtube.

Looks like the Bruno Townhomes project is now leasing. And an occupancy permit has been issued for ^.
