Somehow this freaking ridiculous project (now underway) escaped my attention until recently...

Apartments planned for old publishing building in Gravois Park

This is in Gravois Park one block off Jefferson and on the same block with the supercool building under rehab for Intersect Art as well as the old Bakers Union Building now the facility for Big Heart Teas.

Indeed it is. Also the new Big Heart Tea facility in the old Bakers Union building. You may be interested in this twitter thread I had on the block.

Decided to bring up this thread again. The project has been complete for a while now and looks great.

Now we have Phase 2 to look forward to. As I said on the Gravois Park Infill and Rehab thread, Blackline is planning a 2-story, 12-unit apartment building at 3620 Texas (right next door to the Lange). All the apartments will be one-bedroom units. Cost is $950,000. The design style looks like row homes. The site is actually quite small, so the pictures are hard to really see how small the site is.

Would sure seem like it. Developer confirmed to me that. $950k is the estimated cost.

Thanks for the pics Chris, that rehab looks absolutely fantastic.

Not sure about the townhomes...kinda looks like the facade will be siding...that won’t age well.

Construction well underway.

New interior renderings...

"Phase 2" came out nice. Still some work to do, but overall these match the renderings.

I prefer this to what we are seeing put up on The Hill.

And now that I think about it this would have fit in nicely with a lot of the sided shotgun filled streets throughout the Hill neighborhood without looking like 80s/90s garbage.

Back to the topic at hand - Looking good in this hood!
