In Hannibal for the River Arts Fest over the weekend and ate twice at The Brick Oven. It's a new authentic Italian brick oven - wood fired (not gas). A surprise in NEMO as it would be even for St. Louis! Smaller menu but they're getting into it slowly.



Homemade breads for the sandwiches and the pizza were great. Very nice wines--carefully selected list. And extremely affordable! It was refreshing to eat fresh quality without having it cost a fortune.

We were thinking about taking a little roadtrip through Hannibal this summer. Since gas prices are so high, we're trying to stay somewhat close to home. Unfortunately, the flooding to the north has us thinking twice about our plans.



Still, it's good to hear about a place like this- we'll have to remember to give it a try whenever we make it to Hannibal! Thanks for the tip!
