With KC Prospect MAX, I see a very sensible route 9.5 miles in length with stops approximately every 1/2 mile except for downtown where stops are slightly closer together. Looks great! Exactly what a bus route should look like.
With Metro's proposed West Florissant/Natural Bridge BRT route, I see... okay, this is essentially a recreation of the proposed Northside MetroLink route. Downtown it replicates the #99 Downtown Trolley before heading toward the North County Transit Center, just with significantly fewer stations. I mean, seriously, almost 1-mile station stop spacing through the city, then even farther apart through North County? How is this supposed to be useful to anyone? What about Metro's operating budget? The station spacing is so far apart, they'll be forced to continue running the same local bus routes that they do today.
With Metro's proposed I-64 BRT route, I see... okay, like the other BRT route, they are replacing the #99 Downtown Trolley, that's sensible enough... 1 mile station spacing from downtown to the Central West End? How will anybody in the city actually use this BRT route?... then onto the highway to West County and... 17 miles with only 4 stops... WT...?

Does anybody at Metro have any idea how to make its bus system useful to people who are not transit dependent?
