Better Family Life, Inc. is reportedly the largest African-American owned/operated non-profit organization between St. Louis and Atlanta making it one of the largest between St. Louis and the South. It's amazing the array of programs BFL offers.
Located near Union and Delmar, BFL has submitted a bid for a school in the West End area (Page Avenue) to build its Better Family Life Cultural Center and Museum.

The Better Family Life Cultural Center and Museum will offer services to the entire St. Louis Metropolitan area. It will be designed to express and display the full, rich and diverse elements of the culture of people of African descent in America.
The building, its architecture, its location, its internal ambience and multi-textured programming will contribute to a holistic and organic representation of the best of our history and our vision to the future. This facility will highlight the importance of art and culture to the daily lives of city residents through our theater, dance, music, visual, media and literary arts programming.
The library and community technology center will be designed and programmed to support the center?s artistic and cultural programming. Only a facility capable of simultaneous, vital and diverse activities can fulfill the Better Family Life Cultural Center and Museum?s mission.
The Center will provide hosting opportunities for other cultural and artistic events which have regional, national and international appeal and significance. The classrooms will be used for community education, including GED and job training, business related seminars and motivational training.
