Good things happen on the Northside, and nobody cares.

Looks like a much more substantial development than McKee's three bed facility.  Bet it 's finished first too.

i don't think nobody cares. it's just not a super exciting project. solid but not super exciting. and the north side needs so much that it'll be hard to get too excited until we see some sustained investment/improvement.

C’mon, you guys are slipping!
Curb cuts, setbacks, suburban design, cheap, pre-fab materials, doesn’t blend with the surrounding urban texture. If this proposal was in the Grove it’d be skewered.

Well, it's the north side, so we're desperate for anything. Tax-abated gas stations with 100' curb cuts, street vacations, curb cuts, surface parking lots, auto-blight, wide-lot houses, are A-OK.

based on the single image above i honestly think it looks pretty good given what it is and where it's going.

There's been some movement on this.  $25 million dollar campus is set to open next year.  Not a bad looking building.

The center will sit at the corner of St. Louis Avenue and North Newstead Avenue. It will include a drive-thru pharmacy, chiropractic and behavioral health services, a community center, auditorium, on-site park and walking trail, a commercial kitchen and training rooms.

The 45,000-square-foot building also will house the clinic’s administration offices. Clabon plans to develop 120 senior and low-income housing units for residents in the area who are in need of affordable housing.

It also received a $1 million earmark from Cori Bush:

The new design is much, much better.
