I was by there yesterday.... looks bright and should be a welcome addition to the nabe. Unfortunately, further down S. Broadway, in the Patch neighborhood, I saw Broadway Bean was closed. Too bad.
Yes, but veer west a few blocks from the former Broadway Bean, and you'll find an additional location of Feraro's Jersey Style Pizza opening at Ivory & Schirmer! Plus there is Schoemehls South Side grill just up the street from there.roger wyoming II wrote:I was by there yesterday.... looks bright and should be a welcome addition to the nabe. Also, the Broadway Bean people moved in to the ice cream place up the road.qcarbon wrote:Yes, but veer west a few blocks from the former Broadway Bean, and you'll find an additional location of Feraro's Jersey Style Pizza opening at Ivory & Schirmer! I think it probably has something to do with the cultural background of the ownership group. The one contacts name for the store is Phillip Hong. PSY is probably is favorite musician.Anglophile wrote:So...uh...what's the point of the Gangnam Style background music?

Well regardless of their questionable taste in music I wish them success.
I'm guessing it will be similar in size and selection to Jay's on S. Grand.

Cool, looking forward to it. Maybe they'll be playing this same music while I shop. Always gotta appreciate Off Broadway Shows and Theatre in New York City - even when you're not in NYC, right?
you can forget about "former big lots". The Universal Food Market is now open!!
