Does anyone know what's going in this building? Crews have been working on it for a few months now, and there is a new facade currently being erected.

McMahon Ford was using the former King lots for inventory overflow and commercial vehicles, so I was wondering if McMahon is going to move into newer digs across the street, or is this something new altogether?

I'd prefer something new, but I wouldn't be surprised to see McMahon relocate one more time. They must have received a good price for their original showroom at Chippewa Street and Gravois Avenue when CVS bought that site and built a new pharmacy there. The building they're currently occupying was once home to Vincel Pontiac, which makes it older than old. McMahon continued to sell Pontiacs there until General Motors eliminated the Pontiac Motor Division after the 2009 model year as part of its government-directed bankruptcy and restructuring. So McMahon, and/or Ford Motor Company, might want a newer location.

Ultimately it'd be nice to see more new cars sold within the city- currently Don Brown Chevorlet, Ackerman Toyota-Scion, and McMahon Ford are the only new car dealers in the city. But, at least Tri-Star Mercedes-Benz is moving from Ellisville to Hampton Avenue!

I had been wondering the same. After noticing the front of the building was starting to look like another Ford dealership I had visited, I asked a salesperson at McMahon Ford who confirmed that they are moving across the street.
