Opening at Kingshighway & Eichelberger?

There's what looks to be an old gas station at the corner of Kingshighway & Eichelberger that I've been wondering about for awhile. They've redone the concrete, painted it red/white, and this week it has a new sign on the building - "The Filling Station - Time to Eat!"

Anyone know anything about it or when it's suppose to open??

That was an American Legion post; I don't have an answer to your question, but I know the post closed in the last year or so and the building went up for sale.

Not sure but they were working on it yesterday so I'm guessing real soon.

I think they're running behind schedule—not sure where I got that info or notion. Osmosis, I guess, since I live in the area.

There was a lot of work last spring as if they wanted to be open for the summer then it stalled for a couple months. Seems to be back on track. They're doing a nice job with it—outdoor seating, new metal fencing. They're paying attention to the environment, which it really encouraging.

They had a soft opening this weekend. It's an ice cream shop.
