Just noticed the new KMOV 4 CBS Sign on One Memorial Drive / Gateway Tower.
Interesting to say that this has happened since the station has a new PD and that KMOX-Radio has moved out to the Park Pacific Tower. I would like to see KMOV put a news ticker around building corner at Memorial and Market.
I do like the new sign.

Looks good. Makes me think KSDK could upgrade their signage, especially considering they overlook City Garden/Gateway Mall.

Something simple and iconic, like WKDF in Nashville or CNN in Midtown Manhattan could be nice:

New sign is nice but I doubt that KMOV will be looking at a ticker anytime soon. Have you seen their production set? looks like something straight out of the eisenhower era

It's nice there's a sign now - it's needed, but it already looks dated. KMOX at the Park Pacific has the opportunity to do something cool...will they?

Does it light up at night? I think it looks good and hopefully it lights up. Their logo isn't exactly modern so they did alright with that in mind. The building looks dated.

KMOV needed to step up to match the other local television station and their building sign...KPMG:

I know, I know...not a broadcast company.

HAHAHA on KPMG
to an outsider though - it looks like a station. I do like that sign in downtown too.
KMOV's looks blah in my pics above - cloudy rainy day Sunday when I took. I am anxious to see it at night - it should light up.

Recently I was in Columbus, Ohio --- of all places --- and their 10TV news literally drapped the corner of High and Broad in downtown there. This is what could be donw at KMOV at the corner of Market and Memorial (talk about coverage and free advertising for them and in addition, when things are happening such as Fair STL etc...live broadcasts etc)
They are really missing out here on an incredible area to showcase their station and promotions.
KSDK also has an opportunity to do this too!

Too bad tech company ShipWorks software did not beat KMOV for the building's signature. Nice offices ShipWorks have in the Gateway Tower.

It is indeed lit up an night, just saw it last night. I like it. Congrats to channel 4 and 5 for staying in St. Louis as channel 2 booked out.

2 KTVI (FOX) and 11 KPLR (CW) are the only stations in the burbs.
4 KMOV, 5 KSDK, 7 KPTN, 9 KETC, 24 KNLC, 30 KDNL, 46 WRBU all have studios in the city.
There are other UHF stations that broadcast in STL but on higher channels and not based in the city.
