Hopeful news on 555 Washington in today's Building Blocks.... St. Louis Bar Ass'n may be moving into the ground floor, and the landlord sez there is progress on bringing new restaurants for the rest of ground floor... sure hope to see an exciting announcement on that front soon! Wrt the Bar relocation, while it really isn't much of an economic boost since it is just a downtown relocation, I think it is better for the city to have employees visibly occupy a vacant ground floor of a key building on a key street rather than be obscured up on the 29th floor of Laclede Gas Building.

Also, while the story mentioned that Unisys has a presence on the third floor, there was no update as to whether the potential for its brining in 300 employees has progressed any.

I was in the building today. Beautiful. Can't believe why anyone would want to work in Earth City. Go visit Art St. Louis when you have time.

I don't know what the overall occupancy is, but 555 Washington has been getting tenants and of course Kitchen Sink the past few years. And now start-up Geniecast hopes to go on a hiring spree the next couple years.
