A redevelopment is being eyed at this old building in Downtown West. Blackline is behind the project. Based on marketing materials, the project will feature two office spaces totaling a combined 6,420SF of space. The second floor is supposed to feature apartments but no number was given. It will be known as, "The Morgan".

The hope is to have this project completed by September 2021, so there's some time.

This building, as well as the one south-adjacent, have been the missing pieces to this little pocket of rehabs, which already includes the Majestic Stove, Edge, and Adler lofts. I would guess that one factor might be that these two remaining buildings are kind of "landlocked". Although I might get grilled for this, I always thought that a clever use would be to use one or two floors of this building (and/or the basement) as parking for apartments above, or for the building to the south. Or, maybe they could work out a deal with the adjacent loft properties (and/or the Abbott group, who appear to own many of the vacant lots in the general vicinity).
