I haven't seen any of these in person yet, but I just came across this article:

There's one of the sidewalk ones on Washington between 10th and 11th. Honestly, I probably wouldn't even notice those if I were stumbling around drunk.

Those are nice, but another great way to prevent drunk driving would be to have a useable network of public transit and/or a strong cab industry.

Now we just need "No murdering people" signs.

Actually, no, signs are pretty much a 'sign' that something has failed.
