I swear you must have brought your own "cool sky backdrop" along with you! Seriously, I think the Soulard set is my favorite. Keep 'em coming...

I see the Arch in the distance on this shot.

Is it possible to take signature shot of St. Louis with homes/buildings in Soulard in the foreground with the Arch in the distance for St. Louis context? Kind of like the painted ladies shot from Alamo Park in San Francisco?

First of all, these shots are incredible. Soulard is our own Georgetown.

I've always liked that shot of Alamo Park, but I think the houses in Lafayette Square are actually more impressive than these, I'd bet they're also older here.

I've often wondered the same thing. I wish that Broadway had historic structures on the eastern side. That would make a dramatic shot, especially on Mardi Gras. If the 14th street Mall ever gets remade as a street, that would make a great shot as well.

It would be nice for St. Louis to be represented from a viewpoint other than from the river, where the blandest buildings front the Arch grounds (Gateway Tower, MCI building, Adam's Mark, and Mansion House). Welcome to Des Moines!

An areal shot with the houses that line Mississippi in Lafayette Square as the lower, foreground; and downtown in the background might be nice. It would have to be framed right, but it could be quite dramatic.
