When I originally posted this set to places like SSP, I got a few complaints about the lack of street activity in the photos. Remember, it was really cold when I shot these, plus I was shooting triple exposures to do high dynamic range, which is a technique that doesn't really work well with moving objects or people. Next time I'll just shoot single RAW photo files and then split the exposure biases then do HDR that way, assuming I think the HDR would still help.

Here you go...

More great pics...Thanks, Tosspot! (I guess your name is in the clouds...!) And speaking of the clouds, love the atmosphere it gives to the pics...

Tosspot- Thanks for sharing another round of sensational photos! I loved these when you posted them on SSP, but I was having computer problems when I found that thread, so I didn't get to see them all. Now that I see all the pictures, I'm very impressed! Great work!

I hate it when that happens. Sometimes it seems like a p*ss*ng contest on SSP because some people feel better if they point out that St. Louis is somehow lacking because photos show that it has less pedestrian traffic than __________, even though almost every urban neighborhood has its busy times and its down times. Oh well, that kind of stuff is severely frowned upon here. Most folks here know (or are at least willing to learn if they're new to St. Louis or are just discovering the city) that the CWE is a very vibrant neighborhood that doesn't spend many hours sleeping. And with these photos, you've captured the neighborhood's charm quite well!

Great pics love the time of day and springtime pics. The dark clouds create a nice effect. I also like the exposure you did and the ghost images it created.. like the GHOST CAR in front of 4545 Lindell.. (pic with the two concrete trucks) COOL 8)
