Anyone know the story on the giant factory with 5 smoke stack that is having new windows put in. All the old windows are busted out and are currently being replaced with what looks like translucent plastic ones.

The factory is owned and run by Magnesium Elektron. http://www.magnesium-elektron.com/default.asp It seems they do a lot with coatings and military applications.
As for the new windows, my assumption would be routine replacement...or the start of a better maintenance cycle.
