Despite a declining population, the metro-east continue to sprawl out eastward. Auffenberg auto group is moving down 64 past Green Mount Rd to a new mall. The current location along I-64 and Hwy 50 is for sale.

As someone that is from the metro east and grew up there. A lot of the sprawl is white flight  and the belief/ that your older towns like Alton , Bellville ,Collinsville could be come  next East St. Louis.  )I am surprised granite never had a lot of white flight yet to be honest.)
