This is a few months old, but it is still newsworthy and good news for St. Charles. This is the second polymers company that has set up headquarters in the St. Louis region in the last 18 months. BayOne, a joint venture between and Bayer and PolyOne, put their headquarters in St. Louis City in June 2003.

The sales and marketing division of a U.K.-based company has opened its first U.S. office in the small business incubator in St. Charles, the Economic Development Center of St. Charles County said.
Icon Polymer USA sells precision rubber and compound products for the international aerospace and defense industry manufactured by Icon Polymer Group. Jim Bruchas, vice president of new business development, heads up the local office and is its sole employee for now.
