wow. I have never seen that before. awesomely hideous is how i would describe it. I wish it was still around. I swear, STL has lost more of its amazing architecture than any other city. at least in NY, what went up in its place was an improvement. here, we have surface lots and "parks" where masterpieces used to stand.

That original design would be appreciated today, but I can see why it was disliked at the time. It looks like a 4-year-old emptied the lego box. It really is a tragic architectural mess. (By the way, this was demolished to make room for the Arcade building - anyone want to hate on the Arcade?)
