This is pretty random, but i was just wondering if there were any mega churches in the St. Louis area?

Down here in Houston we have a few like the second baptist chain and of course the world renowned Lakewood church in the Compaq center.

Just curious

The two that I can think of that would come closest are St. Louis Family Church in Chesterfield and Destiny Church in Des Peres. Nothing in St. Louis comes even close to a Lakewood-sized church, though.

Is that the church of Haley Joel Osment or whatever that guy's name is?

Doesn't Joyce Meyer's ministries have a rather large church in the Fenton area?

Joel Osteen.

I'm not sure if I would want a church that big. My church is maybe 150 and I like it just fine. I know everybody.

Joyce Meyer is from St. Louis also, I believe.

The only thing that I don't always like about Joel Osteen, is that he seems to preach that if you claim it you can have it. While I agree that the Bible says, "Ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened," it can be taken too far. God will take care of us if we are faithful to him. However, that does not mean that all of us will be rich, or that being middle-class means that we are not blessed.

Joyce Meyer used to be based out of Life Christian Center in Fenton, not sure if she still is. Back in the 80's the largest church in the area was Grace World Outreach in Maryland Heights. I believe its auditorium seated something like 4000 people and they held multiple services each weekend. The building is still there but I believe attendance is down for the peak.
