The power lines really manage to screw things up, from an aesthetic point of view in photography

All my co-workers were alarmed when they heard me screaming. These are great. I really miss my old neighborhood. I cannot express how grateful I am to you.

I don't understand why I always have a problem viewing these pictures. I guess it's a Firefox problem? Tosspot's message is blank on my screen on several of his posts.

edit: Nope, happened in IE too?

Working fine for me, in Firefox. I had a problem briefly with the last set.

If you're getting the little red x's in the boxes, when i refresh the page, the pictures will pop up fine. Try that!

Man, the European backalley is great. I was back there a couple weeks ago at a private party and the atmosphere was incredible. The view of the Chase is really unique. The columns are a nice touch, and the narrow portion feeding in off Maryland then east to Euclid is an interesting space. Heard that the restaurant opening back there (scape) will take up all three floors of the building and will have outdoor seating in the backalley. Also, a French crepery will take up shop next door.

thanks all, I'm glad you enjoyed them...

about the snafu afflicting the downloading of my photos, it even happened to me one time on this board. It's never happened on other boards though. My first inclination was to ask if your browser was blocking images from my site (valdorephoto.com) but then I remembered the problem happened to me once too. Clicking refresh solved the problem. I've never seen it do this on other boards.... weird.

Nope refresh doesn't solve it for me and I don't get any boxes like "This is where a picture is supposed to be" or the red x's, it looks like you went to make a post and just pressed enter 100 times to stretch the post out without actually entering anything. Very strange, and it sucks because I have loved seeing your pictures in the past.

These pictures are so inviting. When you look at the various official neighborhood sites you never see pictures this good. The city should really buy your pictures for each neighborhood site. They make me want to go visit and I live here. Knowing these were taken in August though makes me kind of sweaty. <----me in the heat.

the city SHOULD buy your photos and use them. Everyone has seen the basic shots so many times, these make you feel like it's a different city and invite you into it.

I really like the east side of the buildings on Kingshighway, excellent shot.

It's also nice to see that you got onto a couple of the residential streets in the neighborhood. Especially the one I grew up on. Great job.

The Pictures are great. You catch the neighborhood as it really is.
