^They pre-lease apartments for future move-in dates. Also, they begin to allow people to move into finished apartments while they are completing the build-out of others. I believe people began to move in here in September. I am assuming they just wait to hold a "grand opening" until the building is 100% finished.

Also, there was a report that this is now fully occupied a few weeks back.

Chronicle Coffee is taking one of the first-floor retail spaces. Signs are up in the windows now. Not sure if they're moving from their Blumeyer location or if this is a second spot for them.

Either way, Chronicle will do a lot to activate the streetscape on Grand. It's the kind of place SLU grad students would seek out ... off-campus away from the undergrads, where the can plug in a laptop.
