Clayton Transportation Catch All

Discuss new retail, dining, business and residential projects within the City of Clayton, the center of St. Louis County government.
Wasn't sure where to put this so I decided just to make a generic transportation thread for Clayton.

They are removing a lane of traffic each way on Maryland (between Forsyth and Hanley) and putting in protected bike lanes (between parked cars and sidewalk). Adding a turn lane.

Nice to see Clayton doing this. The stretch they are doing it on could use some slowing down so hopefully one lane each way helps do that also.

Holy crap, this is... huge. I bet residents north of Maryland are going to cry about traffic and then be extremely happy about how easy it is to walk to restaurants south of Maryland. And how easy it will be for office workers south of Maryland to get up to Five Star Burgers and Posh Nosh.
Those shops along Maryland between Brentwood Blvd and Forsyth are about to be one of the nicest pedestrian promenades in the region.
Great news. Next they should remove those weird head-level business signs on the sidewalk.
