Anyone here into off-roading? Does anyone here know where the best place here in Missouri where newbies like me can go off-roading? Lastly. is anyone here familiar here with Warn Winch? Should I go for that brand or Smittybilt instead? I will be installing it on my 2012 Jeep Wranger Sahara.
I'm not into it myself, but I've always heard St. Joe State Park is the place to go:

What kind of off-roading are you looking for, specifically? I assume from your question re: winches that you're talking about 4x4 Jeeps/Trucks/SUVs, not necessarily ATVs or dirt bikes, yes? Are you looking for wooded trails, rock crawling, sand dunes or something else?

Re: the winches: yeah Warns are the 'name' name brand in the field - you won't go wrong with one of those. But I honestly don't know much about SmittyBuilts, so I can't speak to how well they compare.
