I went to A Walk in 1875 St. louis today. It's based ont he COmpton and Dry Pictorial St. Louis book. A must see!

Since a spammer bumped this post early this morning, I'll give a plug to the current exhibits on Route 66 and Toys of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Very good exhibits. They have a bunch of the toys out that you can play with.
^ not the only one liking it... record (modern) attendance last year!

History Museum attendance tops half million mark

City Museum also announced they had record attendance but I'm not sure what the figure was.
^ I really enjoy the more local and regional exhibits, as mentioned in the biz journal. Not only do the traveling exhibits cost more, but in my opinion they usually don't live up to the hype. The last one I went to was "Vatican Splendors" and it blew.
Yeah, I never could figure out what the Vatican's art collection has to do with Missouri history.
Very nice museum with great faculties. Nicely adapted to be handicap friendly... Thanks for that!
I'm not really into museums but i want to give it it a try since it has only positive reviews. This is gonna be interesting experience!
