Mandarin in the CWE closing.....

New and changing stores, restaurants, and businesses in the City of St. Louis ... 1e97c.html

Too bad. This place had a cool vibe. I would guess this spot will be filled by another venue soon. While I understand economics and trends change, tastes change and venues come and go, it just seems like we've seen a lot of closures of long time clubs and restaurants. Lately, Mandarin Lounge, Beale on Broadway, Upstairs Lounge and Wild Country in the Metro East. Again, I understand that many factors play into this, but it does seem odd that so many closures are taking place when the economy is doing very well. This is usually a recession-related trend. Then again, some of these closures are not related to financial issues.
Went there once and thought that place was horrible.
