COLLINSVILLE -- Fairmount Park announced Monday there will be 52 race dates at the metro-east horse track this upcoming season, up from the three dates issued by the Illinois Racing Board late last year.
An agreement has been reached between the racing board and the union that represents five state employees who serve as stewards at the track to allow for a much longer season than was scheduled earlier this month.
